Oil on Birchwood
12" x 16"
"This painting continues my exploration of the threshold between the natural and the abstract, rendering a barn owl through a vivid interplay of geometric form and expressive color. The owl’s gaze anchors the composition, while sweeping arcs and angular structures fracture the space around it, reflecting my ongoing interest in how reality is constructed, deconstructed, and reimagined through perception. Much like the rest of my work, this piece balances precision with intuition. It draws from classical techniques of observation while bending those toward a contemporary visual language that incorporates bold abstraction, movement, and symbolic resonance. The layered, saturated palette pushes the owl out of the realm of realism and into a dimensional field of interconnected energies, where organic life and constructed form playfully collide."
