Being an anxious person, I constantly struggle with being present, being able to simply enjoy the moment and breathe.   The piece is inspired by that feeling, the woman in a poppy field tries to have a moment of peace, but she can't help but look into the future, while time keeps moving forward, represented by a hummingbird. In her hands rests a lotus flower, representing enlightenment, knowing how to be in the here and now, but although it remains close to her hands, she can't touch it.
