The work depicts a self portrait at a young age standing over a battered wall with stashed shoe boxes that are filled with USD and Salvadoran colones (currency). The boxes with stashed money represent the distrust of bank system and govt' systems due to my parent's experience in their home country of El Salvador during the war through the 1980s.
